The Southern African Marine Linefish Species Profiles is a document compiled by the Oceanographic Research Institute (ORI – part of the South African Association for Marine Biological Research; SAAMBR) that provides the most up to date reference information on 139 linefish species (including sharks). The profile for each species includes information on distribution, movement, habitat, feeding, reproduction, biometrics, fishery, biological reference points, stock status, vulnerability, current regulations, management considerations and research requirements.
